It is my great privilege to be writing you as the new Pastor of Perryville Baptist Church! My family and I could not be more humbled or honored to have been called here for “such a time as this.” There is such anticipation for what God is doing and will continue to do for this faith family on the corner.
Words cannot express our gratitude for the way you have accepted our family with such love. God has providentially forged a supernatural connection in my heart with everyone at PBC. We feel He created us for this congregation and community. It is as though we were raised here.
As I have said, and will continue to reiterate, my family and I are here for the long haul. We have no intention to go anywhere. We look forward to serving you in whatever capacity you need, as we grow together. Please know my office door is open and I am available for you. I look forward to laughing with you, crying with you, praying with you, baptizing your friends and neighbors as you have seen God gloriously save them.
I am not perfect (newsflash, I know). I am aware of most of my faults and am prayerfully allowing God to shepherd me through them. I pray that God will give us grace as we grow in Him together. He knows it is my greatest desire to serve you, faithfully preaching His word and being available for your pastoral care.
If I have not yet been able to meet you, please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself! If you would like to sit down sometime and over a cup of coffee get to know one another, I would love that! I would love the opportunity to earn your trust.
Finally, if you haven’t worshiped with us in a while, please know we are still here for you. If there have been past hurts you are still suffering through, rest assured, I have been there too and let’s work through them together.
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Aaron, Tammy, Caleb, Samuel, Natalie, Allyson, Alex and Elaina
(I know, that’s a lot!)
